About The Travellers Rest

The original building, known as the Travellers Rest Inn, was built around the 19th century alongside egg-cup cottages and would have served as a local tavern, meeting place and accommodation for travellers on the main trading route for the industrial town of Neilston. Today the new Travellers Rest sits exactly where its predecessor would have been, offering food, drink and a warm welcome to all.

The Travellers Rest has been owned by the Jack family since 2003, during which time several additions to the building have been made including an impressive function suite, cosy private dining room and conservatory, along with a refurbished restaurant and lounge bar.

With a creative menu, quality drinks range including a great selection of Scottish Malts and friendly staff, we aim to meet all your dining needs.
